The Safe Settings Campaign
The vast majority of deaths and medical emergencies stemming from raves and nightclubs are the result of heat stroke and are easily preventable.
Promoters. Now is the time to...
Reduce the Heat!
Become a Cool Promoter and prevent heat stroke by adopting the following Safe Settings guidelines
Two reasons why you should adopt these guidelines?
Reason #1: Reducing the heat protects the health and safety of your patrons and shows that you are a responsible promoter who cares about more than just making money.
Reason #2: You will reduce the "heat" currently being felt by everyone in the rave community. Heat stroke emergencies are being misreported in the media as "ecstasy overdoses." This dangerous misconception not only jeopardizes the lives of young people, but also adds fuel to current "anti-rave" sentiments across the country. Reducing medical emergencies by implementing these safe settings guidelines is good public relations. (For more information on the current media frenzy around raves and ecstasy, see our media page.)
Promoters who agree to adopt the following guidelines at all their events will be listed on our Cool Promoters page and can use our Safe Settings logo on their promotional materials.
